Mission Statement:
Eschol Park FC’s mission for the M-SAP (Mini Skills Acquisition Program) is to create a nurturing and high-performance environment that enables young players to develop their technical skills, tactical awareness, and love for the game. The club strives to provide a pathway for talented youth players through professional coaching, structured training sessions, and alignment with Football NSW’s SAP objectives whilst keeping costs to participate in the MSAP program aligned with our overall registration fee structure.

The program is designed to:

Foster player development through consistent skill-based training aligned with Football NSW’s principles.
Ensure each player has the opportunity to develop to their full potential within a supportive and encouraging environment, without the constraints of charging more for being an MSAP player.

The club aims to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, where young players can progress seamlessly through the club’s development structure, eventually contributing to senior teams and beyond.

The M-SAP program envisions:

Technical Mastery: Ensuring all players master the fundamental technical skills that are essential for modern football, such as passing, dribbling, shooting, and first touch.

By continuously evolving its M-SAP program in line with Football NSW’s & MFA standards, Eschol Park FC aims to be a hub of football excellence, fostering the next generation of talented players.

Understanding Soccer Grading

Understanding Soccer Grading

Soccer grading is a crucial process designed to ensure that players are placed in teams that match their skill level and potential. This helps create a balanced and competitive environment, allowing every player to develop and thrive in the sport. Here’s a brief overview of what soccer grading involves:

1. What is Soccer Grading? Soccer grading is an evaluation process where players are assessed based on their skills, performance, and potential. The goal is to assign players to teams that best match their abilities, which helps in maintaining fair competition and optimizing player development.

2. Why is it Important? Grading ensures that players are challenged appropriately, which enhances their growth and enjoyment of the game. It also helps coaches create balanced teams, which contributes to a more engaging and competitive season for everyone involved.

3. How Does the Grading Process Work?

  • Assessment: Players are typically assessed during tryouts or practice sessions. Evaluations may include skills tests, drills, and small-sided games.
  • Criteria: Assessments are based on various factors, including technical skills, game understanding, physical attributes, and teamwork.
  • Placement: Based on the evaluations, players are placed in teams that align with their current skill level. This process is conducted with careful consideration to ensure fair and accurate placements. At our club, we segregate based on gender from the earliest age (U5). Only for our MSAP programs do we offer mixed teams if players have been identified as meeting the skill requirements.

4. What Should Parents Expect? Parents can expect transparent communication throughout the grading process. Coaches and administrators will provide feedback and updates as needed. Our aim is to ensure that each player is placed in an environment where they can grow and enjoy their soccer experience. Parent's please note, we are activly monitoring your behaviour on the sideline and we take into consideration your interaction with coaches. administrators, other parents as well as players trying out. Stay positive and be a role model to everyone around you

5. Support for Players: We encourage all players to embrace the grading process as an opportunity for growth. Regardless of the outcome, the focus is on development, improvement, and having fun. Coaches are available to support players and provide guidance throughout the season.
